2026-06-29 [CHF26] Weekly Wire #3 CHF Participants: Today a team of volunteers set up our 15 Vinyl tents throughout the park. The city will do one more heavy watering tonight (Monday) and we'll be ready to stretch canvas tomorrow morning at 8:30. You are welcome to join us to set up your area (or help others set up) from then until 8:30 am on Thursday. Here's what is in this weekly wire: * Parking Clarification * Fire Instructions * Appeal for Folding Tables * Check-in Procedures * Broadcasts from Park **Parking Clarification** Last week's wire had an error in the map for the recommended parking area. Here is the correct recommended area: https://maps.app.goo.gl/MUWRBb4RzNDSMYHN9 Please see this picture for further clarification about where you can and cannot park: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KzYqZ1HdpwZ4GeQE5CMVXW9oz0yHQl5B/view?usp=drivesdk Parking passes are available here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t-PYiSzVDqECcJwy489BHVkq4waeutIb/view?usp=drivesdk While you won't be towed for parking in the lot just south of the main park pavilion, we hope you will leave that space for visitors. We must avoid the lot just south of Scera Pool — our relationship with the pool is tenuous. They generously allow us to use their showers, but the festival makes parking difficult for their regular customers. **Fire Instructions** Given the extreme fire conditions Utah is currently experiencing, a few of you have asked if fires will be allowed. The answer is "yes". Fires must be above-ground only. Please be extremely careful with any use of fire. **Appeal for Folding Tables** If you are local and have been relying on the festival to supply your tables for convenience, **please bring your own tables this year.** We have added many new exhibits, including participants traveling from great distances who have no other option. We have committed so many tables that we may not be able to meet all needs. Your help on this will make a real difference. **Check-in Procedures** When you arrive at the park, please check in with a member of the Admin Committee in the large pavilion **before** you set up — even if you think you know exactly where to go. Here's whom to call on Tuesday and Wednesday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm: Elary Hall (763-412-6426) 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Holly White (760-670-8832) If you are unable to reach these, call Gove (801-372-0683) **Broadcasts from Park** On Friday morning from 7:30 to 10:00 am, Fox 13 will broadcast five two-minute segments from the festival. Let's be on our best behavior. NBC (KSL) will also send a news crew at 1:00 pm on Thursday. The news anchor Don Rascon seems genuinely excited to attend. You may have a camera crew in your audience Thursday afternoon. Thanks for all you do to advance the cause of liberty. See you later this week! As always, this and other messages are available at https://festival.colonialheritage.org/2000/01/messages.html Ever your humble servants,\ Gove Allen\ Holly White\ Dezra Helgeson
