These figures, known for their significant roles in shaping the American nation, include prominent individuals like Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, Martha Washington, and James Madison as well as lesser-known figures suchs as Elizabeth Freeman (First person to win freedom from slavery in court under the Massachusetts Constitution), Joseph Plumb Martin (Private in the Continental Army), Ona Judge, who escaped bondage at Mount Vernon, and Isaiah Thomas (1770s patriot printer in Boston).
